On September 20, 2024, a U.S. AFSOC crew conducting a weapons calibration at Ayn al Asad Airbase's ROZ RAINDROP, Iraq, observed an unidentified object "fly" through their MX-20 and MX-25 IR sensors at a high rate of speed after releasing an AGM-176 missile. The WSO and CSO reported the UAP created an IR lens flare on both sensors, indicating a significant heat source.
